I’m glad you’re here. Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and it is normal to have questions about what to expect, how online sessions work, fees, insurance, and whether we might be a good fit.
I offer online psychotherapy for individuals and couples located in Colorado and California. This page includes practical information about my practice, including consultation, fees, insurance, payment, cancellation policy, and what beginning therapy with me may look like.
Free 20-Minute Consultation
I offer a free 20-minute video consultation for new clients. This gives us a chance to talk briefly about what you’re looking for, whether online therapy is appropriate for your needs, and whether my approach feels like a good fit.
After the consultation, if we decide to move forward, I’ll send you the information you need to begin therapy.
Good Faith Estimate
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage directly with your insurance company.
Helpful questions to ask your insurance provider include:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my deductible, and has it been met?
How many therapy sessions does my plan cover per year?
What amount does my plan reimburse per therapy session?
Does my plan cover telehealth sessions?
Does my plan cover individual therapy and/or couples counseling?
Is pre-authorization required?
I can provide a superbill or invoice with the appropriate information for insurance reimbursement upon request.
Reduced Fee
I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee spots when available.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards when applicable.
A credit card is kept securely on file and charged after each session.
I do not accept cash or checks.
If you’re not sure whether your HSA/FSA card can be used for therapy, please check with your plan administrator.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, are charged the full session fee.
I currently offer therapy online only.
I work with clients who are physically located in Colorado or California at the time of session. Sessions are held through a secure video platform.
Online therapy can offer flexibility and continuity of care, especially if you have a full schedule, travel often, live outside a major city, or prefer the privacy of meeting from your own space.
Online Therapy
Your First Session
The first therapy session can feel a little intimidating, especially if you are not sure what to expect.
Our first session is a chance to begin getting to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and explore what kind of support may be most helpful. You are welcome to ask questions about my approach, the therapy process, and what working together might look like.
The first few sessions are usually a time for assessment, relationship-building, and clarifying your goals. My style is interactive and collaborative, and I want our work to feel useful, thoughtful, and respectful of your pace.
Therapy Duration
How long therapy takes depends on many factors, including what you are coming in for, your goals, your history, your current support system, and the kind of work we are doing together.
Some people come to therapy for focused support around a specific issue or transition. Others are interested in deeper, longer-term work around trauma, relationship patterns, grief, anxiety, or personal growth.
We can talk together about what feels appropriate for you as the work unfolds. My goal is to support meaningful change while respecting your time, resources, and readiness.
Therapy with me
My approach is collaborative, interactive, and respectful. I see you as the expert on your own experience. My role is to help you slow things down, understand patterns, and find new ways of relating to yourself, others, and difficult moments.
I integrate somatic therapy, EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, parts work, and polyvagal-informed approaches. This means we may pay attention not only to your thoughts and emotions, but also to body cues, nervous system responses, relationship patterns, and the ways past experiences may still be shaping the present.
Our work may include insight, practical tools, present-moment awareness, and gentle exploration of what feels stuck or unresolved. We move at a pace that feels respectful and appropriate for you.
Ending Therapy
You are always in control of whether you continue therapy.
Ideally, when you feel ready to end, we would talk about it together and use the ending as part of the therapeutic process. A final session can be helpful for reflecting on the work, noticing what has changed, and thinking about how to support yourself moving forward.
That said, you are not required to have a termination session. My hope is simply that therapy can also be a place where you practice communicating directly, even when something feels uncomfortable or awkward.
