Anxiety Treatment
Anxiety Therapy Online
Anxiety can be exhausting — especially when you are used to functioning well.
You may look calm, capable, and put together on the outside, while inside your mind is racing, your body is tense, and you are constantly scanning for what might go wrong. You may second-guess yourself, replay conversations, worry about the future, or feel like you can never fully relax.
Maybe you’ve tried yoga, meditation, exercise, breathing techniques, or talking yourself out of it — and while those things may help sometimes, the anxiety keeps coming back.
Therapy can offer a space to understand not only how anxiety shows up, but also what it may be connected to: stress, trauma, perfectionism, relationship patterns, professional pressure, grief, old protective strategies, or a nervous system that has learned to stay on alert.
Anxiety May Show Up As
Anxiety can look different for different people. You may notice:
racing thoughts or overthinking
trouble sleeping or waking up with worry
tension, restlessness, or difficulty settling
irritability or feeling easily overwhelmed
difficulty concentrating
perfectionism or fear of making the wrong decision
people-pleasing or difficulty setting boundaries
relationship anxiety or fear of conflict
physical symptoms such as tightness, shallow breathing, stomach discomfort, or a racing heart
a sense of dread, urgency, or waiting for something bad to happen
For some people, anxiety is tied to specific situations, such as work, relationships, flying, social settings, parenting, health concerns, or major life transitions. For others, it feels more generalized — a constant background hum that is hard to turn off.
How I Work With Anxiety
My approach to anxiety is integrative and mind-body oriented. Anxiety is not just a thought pattern; it is often felt in the body and nervous system.
Depending on your needs, our work may include somatic therapy, EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, parts work, mindfulness, polyvagal-informed approaches, and practical tools for daily life.
We may explore what your anxiety is trying to protect you from, how it developed, what triggers it, and how it shows up in your body, relationships, work, and sense of self.
Rather than simply trying to “get rid of” anxiety, we work toward understanding it, building more capacity to be with your internal experience, and developing more choice in how you respond.
Anxiety, Professional Pressure, and Holding a Lot
I often work with people who are thoughtful, responsible, and used to being the one others rely on. You may be a therapist, lawyer, business owner, parent, caregiver, executive, creative professional, or someone who is very good at keeping things moving.
But being capable does not mean you are not struggling.
Sometimes anxiety shows up after years of pushing through, performing, adapting, caregiving, or holding more than people around you realize. Therapy can help you slow down, listen to what your system has been carrying, and find a more sustainable way of living and relating.
Online Anxiety Therapy in Colorado and California
I offer online anxiety therapy for adults located in Colorado and California. Online therapy can be a good fit if you have a private space, reliable internet, and enough time before and after session to transition back into your day.
Because anxiety often lives in both the mind and body, online sessions may include conversation, reflection, nervous system awareness, grounding practices, and gentle somatic exploration when appropriate.
